Originally from Butler County, I moved to Bowling Green while finishing up my undergraduate degree at Western Kentucky University. Upon graduating, I took my first real job in WKU’s Office of Admissions. After 7 ½ years in Admissions, I joined the Gatton Academy in April 2008. I then earned a Masters degree in Public Administration and a Masters of Arts in Education in Provisional School Counseling P-12 while taking additional courses to become a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. My dad claims he sent me off to college and I just never came back!
As the Coordinator for Student Success, I provide academic advising and counseling, track academic grade progress to provide academic plans for success, coordinate the registration process, and oversee Gatton’s study program. It’s amazing to see how students grow and mature in just two short years. As they embrace their newfound independence and design their own academic schedules, I’m here to advise them along the way and to remind them of the little things…like leaving room for lunch every day.
In my spare time, I enjoy being with family, lazy days at home, community events, and having the most seasonally decorated office at the Academy.
