Parking

WKU wants to make loading and unloading your students as safe, quick, and efficient as possible.  To do so, WKU Parking & Transportation Services has designed the following map as a guide.  Click the image to enlarge, or print the PDF here.

On this map you will see a few key locations.  The red building is Van Meter Auditorium, where some of the shows will be performed.  The same bus unloading zone that is used for shows in Van Meter Auditorium (#3) is also used for shows in the Russell Miller Theatre in FAC.  In both instances, buses will need to pull forward as far as possible in the yellow Bus Drop Off location while dropping off students in order to make room for other buses.  This is in front of College High Hall.  A green solid and striped sections are WKU parking lots with areas large enough to accommodate bus parking.  The roads with arrows are the roads that Parking & Transportation Services requests your buses travel.  The arrows suggest direction.  This traffic flow direction will help buses line up so that students will not have to cross any streets.  Also, this map keeps buses from having to make any sharp or difficult turns, and prevents issues with normal traffic flow and Campus Bus Systems.

 

 

When your students are dropped off at the yellow loading/unloading zone in front of College High Hall (marked COHH on your map) an usher will be there to greet you and escort your students safely to the theatre.  When it is time for dismissal from the theatre, an usher will guide you back to your bus.

This information will be sent to you in a packet when you register your student group.  Make sure this information is given to your bus drivers.  Again, this ensures the safety of your students.

TIPS

 Keep a cell phone handy (but turned off during the show) and make sure your bus driver has one as well.  That way, when the show is over, you can signal your driver that you are ready to leave.

Ushers will escort your student group from and to the loading zone in front of College High Hall.

If you plan to eat on campus before departing, please let your usher know when you arrive.  Student groups eating on campus will be dismissed first with ushers to guide them.
