Audience FAQs

No, we do not allow any type of photography during our productions. It’s distracting to your fellow audience members. Even if you don’t use a flash, the noise and movement is still bothersome, and our first commitment is to our audience. It also violates copyright and licensing rules.

After a production we often post photos on our website and on our social media pages:

Twitter - @wkutheatredance

Facebook: Theater & Dance, Dance, Costume Shop

Instagram: @wkutheatredance

If you are a representative of the press, we will gladly make arrangements for you to visit and photograph a rehearsal, or interview students and staff involved in a production.  Just call the Theatre & Dance office at (270) 745-5845 or contact us at theatredanceoffice@wku.edu

No, that definitely violates copyright and licensing laws.

The doors of the theatre will open 30 minutes prior, but the Fine Arts Box Office will begin selling tickets up to an hour prior to the show.

Gordon Wilson Lab Theatre:

Follow the sidewalk to the back of the building.

If facing the back of the building, you should enter the door on the right.

Continue down the hallway toward the theatre.

Russell Miller Theatre:

Enter through the second-floor doors by walking across the bridge closest to HThe Commons.

Van Meter Auditorium:

Walk through the breezeway under the front steps of Van Meter Hall. There is a handicap-accessible remote-controlled door that will lead you to the elevators.

If you do not already have tickets, we recommend you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the performance to buy tickets.

If you have already bought your tickets, we recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the performance to ensure that you have ample time to get your tickets from Will Call and find your seats before the show starts.

This depends on the show. If concerned about the time, call our Fine Arts Box Office at (270) 745-5845.

This depends on the show and will be indicated in your program.

All of our shows have an age recommendation, and you are welcome to bring your children to any show for which they fit into the appropriate age range!

You can pay in person or at our box office with cash, credit, or check, or you can pay with a credit card if you call our Fine Arts Box Office or buy tickets online through wku.showare.com.

We will cancel the show if WKU has closed the campus. Refunds or exchanges will be offered.

No, food and drink are not allowed in any of the theatres, even though at some performances there may be a student organization selling baked goods in the lobby. If this is the case, we ask that you enjoy your purchases in the lobby before taking your seats in the theatre.
