Bronson Norris Murphy, a summa cum laude graduate of Western Kentucky University and New York University is delighted to have been asked to spend time back on the hill as guest director of these incredible students and faculty artists who are responsible for this production. As an actor, Mr. Murphy has been seen on film, television and stages all across the country. Best known for his work with the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Mr. Murphy premiered the role of The Phantom in the first North American production of Love Never Dies: The Phantom Returns. He made his principal debut on Broadway as Raoul in the long-running production of The Phantom of the Opera and starred in the world premiere of Unmasked: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber,the 30th Anniversary touring company of CATS and the New York City Center Gala Production of EVITA. As a concert artist, his symphonic work includes evenings with The Nashville Symphony, The Florida Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic, Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Kentucky, Ft. Worth Symphony, Springfield Symphony, Chattanooga Symphony and more. Mr. Murphy serves as the Associate Artistic Director of The Stephen Foster Story (Kentucky’s "Official Outdoor Musical") in Bardstown, KY.
