WKU Study Abroad Scholarships
The World Topper Scholarship is offered through the Office of Study Abroad & Global Learning (SAGL) for WKU study abroad students who are not employed full-time at WKU. The online application can be accessed by clicking the link above. Awards range from $100 to $1,000 and vary according to application quality, program length, and financial need.
Priority Deadlines (Applications will continue to be accepted after theses deadlines until funds are depleted.): October 1st for winter and spring programs, December 1st for summer, and March 15th for fall , and academic year programs.
SAGL offers this grant to advance our institutional commitment to diversity by increasing access to education abroad opportunities for under-represented students with demonstrated financial need.

$150 Application Fee Scholarship
SAGL awards a $150 scholarship toward the WKU study abroad application fee to eligible students who apply for the Gilman Scholarship, working with the Office of Scholar Development on their scholarship application. Contact a Study Abroad Advisor for more information.
The Student Government Association offers scholarships of up to $300 per academic term (winter, spring break, summer, or semester) and up to $600 per academic year. The application can be found at www.wku.edu/sga.
Members of the WKU Honors College are eligible to apply for the Honors Travel Abroad Grant (TAG), which awards up to $500 towards an academic term (winter, spring break, summer, or semester) or up to $1,000 towards an academic year.
The Modern Languages program at Western offers a number of partial scholarships to enable deserving current majors and minors to study abroad for a summer or longer. These scholarships, which typically range from $100-$1,000, are awarded to current students on a competitive basis.
There are a few study abroad scholarships available through TOPDollar, the WKU scholarship management system. Students must apply by February 1st for fall, winter, spring and summer of the upcoming academic year.
