Health Insurance

In order to study as a J1 student at WKU, the required international student health insurance will be added to your student account. 

• For more information regarding Student Health Insurance and its estimated costs can be found HERE.

• You are encouraged to utilize Med Center Health @ WKU Health Services in non-emergency situations.

• If you have a more severe health condition requiring urgent attention, you should visit an urgent care center.

• If you have a medical emergency, you should call 911 for an ambulance or have someone drive you to an emergency room.  There are two local hospitals: Medical Center and Tristar Greenview.
