SGA Elections

The Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University holds elections every year in the fall and spring semesters for membership in the organization. All eligible students are encouraged to apply and run for an office for a chance to represent the student body. Everyone can find a place where they belong in SGA!

Important Information and Dates:

Application due date: September 18th, 2026@ 8:00PM

Mandatory Orientation Meetings: September 15th @ 5:00PM and September 16th @ 4:30PM in 2081 (SGA Chambers) * (You must attend one of these meetings in order to start campaigning)

Campaigning Period begins September 16th, 2026 @ 5:00PM

Election Dates: September 23th at 8:00am - September 25th @ 4:00PM, 2026 via Topnet

The Election Reveal Party will be held on Friday, September 25th @ 4:00PM

These election codes provide an overview of the rules and general procedures one must follow if they choose to run for an elected position. The application also includes the positions available this term. If you have any questions, you may contact Chief Justice Sophie Stirling.
