Finding Your Courses

Identifying Courses For Your Degree Program

Identifying courses required for your degree program is critical. Once you're officially admitted, your advisor will assist you, but it is also important that you are well informed of the requirements for your degree. We strongly recommend review of the graduate or undergraduate catalog for the term in which you are accepted to the program.

Course Availability

As an online learner, you have several course options available to you, including term-based web courses, and flex-paced on demand courses. Below you will find a description of each, along with instructions on how to narrow your search in the Schedule of Classes for the most applicable results.

Online/web courses are delivered through Blackboard, WKU's Learning Management System. Web courses have specific start and end dates based on WKU's academic calendar, just as face-to-face classes do. The campus location is listed as "web." Course offerings can be found by searching campus location "web" in the Schedule of Classes or by visiting wku.edu/online/classes.

WKU On Demand courses have open enrollment, and they are the only courses offered at WKU that do not require admission to the University prior to registration. You have nine months to complete the course and can register anytime! See course offerings on the On Demand website.

Other options: If you live in the region, you may also take face-to-face classes in Glasgow, Owensboro, and Elizabethtown-Fort Knox. To find listings visit WKU’s Schedule of Classes and search by your intended campus location.
