Please join us for a Web Council meeting, March 30th from 1:00pm - 2:30pm on Zoom. We will be demonstrating two new features: Quality Control Checks and Final Check scans. Both of these tools will help ensure that your pages meet accessibility standards and are inclusive to all methods of interacting with a website.
Quality Control Checks are alerts that will display at the top of your page only while previewing and editing. These will guide you to improve aspects of the page like SEO, usability, and consistency across the WKU website.
Final Checks are currently available in the publish dialog window but will begin to run automatically. These will identify spelling, link, and accessibility errors. At a future date, unresolved known Accessibility errors will prevent you from publishing the page. We will cover how to use each Final Check and go over how to fix the top known issues.
Visit OU Campus Best Practices to find out more about the new check features. Articles to fix specific errors will be added to the Final Check Knowledge Base section.
