Historic Schools of Warren County – Division 2

The Bristow Rosenwald School followed the same plan as the Rockfield school for a one-teacher school. The schoolhouse had a 22' x 30' classroom, two cloakrooms, and one community room. Mispah's 24'x30' schoolhouse was topped with a tin roof. Pupils used painted planks for a blackboard. Mispah may also have been know as the L&N School. (From An Album of Early Warren County Landmarks by Irene Moss Sumpter, 1976)
