Close Study: Homecoming Edition

November 10 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Registration is limited to 30 participants! Reserve your spot now.

Each semester, we fill our classroom with artifacts related to World Wars I and II, and invite World History classes to study them up close. Now, it's your turn! This special session with retiring Collections Curator/Registrar Sandy Staebell takes you behind-the-scenes with one of our most notable collections to explore the stories of individual Kentuckians who served in the World Wars, both abroad and at home.

You will learn how these artifacts came to the Museum ("provenance") and why they are significant, as well as the stories of specific Kentuckians. Attendees are also given time to look at items, take photos, and ask questions.

Cost is $20 per person. All registration fees go to our Collections Care Fund to help preserve these historically significant artifacts.

What can I expect?
