The Nantucket Lightship Basket Workshop will be taught in three days:

Thursday, February 7 - 4 pm - 8 pm

Friday, February 8 - 9 am - 4 pm

Saturday, February 9 - 9 am -3pm


$193 Members   $215 Non-members

You can handcraft this strong, beautiful and functional Nantucket basket which will be a heirloom to treasure. Explore the fundamentals of Nantucket basket making techniques including carving staves, weaving on a mold, rim preparation, drilling and lashing. Materials are included: cherry base, cane staves, cane weavers, rattan rims, brass ears and handcarved slotted Oak handel. Class fee includes use of basket and rim molds.

The Nantucket basket is challenging, but it's an extremely rewarding experience resulting in a beautiful finely-woven basket to treasure. Register today because class size is extremely limited.
