No SAT/ACT required

Students with a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA qualify.

To be considered for an Academic Merit Award, students must have a complete application package on file.  A complete application package includes the following:

  • Applied & admitted to WKU (learn more)
  • Submit official high school transcript
  • If available, submit ACT or SAT scores (not required)

Funding + Academic Success

Special funding available for citizens of Africa and Nepal only.

This scholarship for undergraduate students and is based on merit and your grade point average. Recipients receive a reduced tuition based on the scale below: 

3.5 - 4.0 GPA (unweighted, U.S. scale) = Tution reduction to $14,144*
3.0 - 3.49 GPA (unweighted, U.S. scale) = Tuition reduction to $19,144*

*Tuition subject to change, conditions & terms of scholarship must be met, renewable as long as in good academic standing, must apply & be admitted by May 1, 2020.


Up to 11,000 per year
Funding through the Organization of American States

If you are a citizen of an OAS country, you could be elligable to earn up to $11,000 per year. Learn how to apply HERE.
