International Student Scholarship Opportunities 

Scholarship opportunities for new international students:

 

Academic Merit Awards
No SAT required!

Students with a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA qualify.

To be considered for an Academic Merit Award, students must have a complete application package on file. A complete application package includes the following:

  • Applied & admitted to WKU (learn more)
  • Submit official high school transcript
  • If available, submit ACT or SAT scores (not required)

TIPI Scholarship Funding
No additional application necessary

Academic Funding

If you are a citizen of Nepal, India, Pakistan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Afghanistan or any country within Africa, you could be eligible for the TIPI Scholarship. Scholarship funding is based on your highschool GPA (on the U.S. scale). If you're unsure about your GPA, or have questions about eligibility, email us at applyinternational@wku.edu

OAS Scholarship Funding
Available to citizens of OAS countries

Up to 11,400 per year

If you are a citizen of an OAS country, you could be eligible to receive $11,400 per year toward your cost of attendance. This is in addition to any merit awards, athletic scholarships, and other University awarded scholarships for which you are eligible. Students that are considered a resident for tuition purposes are not eligible for the OAS. For more information or for questions about eligibility, email applyinternational@wku.edu

Funding is renewable for up to eight semesters for F-1, undergraduate, face-to-face, can be transfer or first time freshman, students. Recipients must maintain good academic standing and full time enrollment. In order to receive the OAS scholarship students must have a minimum high school or transfer GPA of 3.0.
