In this hands-on two-hour workshop, participants will learn how to design a syllabus that minimizes the need for a traditional Syllabus Day and creates an engaging first week that promotes student satisfaction and learning throughout the semester. Together, we'll develop and improve first-week learning modules that illustrate your course expectations while fostering student engagement, motivation, and a sense of belonging from the very beginning. Participants will leave with practical strategies and ready-to-use ideas for redesigning both their syllabus and first-week course plans.
