Kari Warberg Block, founder and CEO of Earth-Kind, is an inventor, serial entrepreneur, and small business champion with a passion for growing people, products, ideas, and business through a sustainable approach. Her company has the mission to provide proactive, natural alternatives to protect the spaces in which we live, work, and play.
Block was named to the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Woman Class of 2012, 2013 North Dakota Small Business Administration Small Business Person of the Year, and National Second Runner Up to the 2013 Inc. 5000 List.
She will be joined by Sam Ford in a lively Q&A session.

Kay Meggers, Executive Vice President and Global President of Global Rolled Products for Alcoa, will be presenting a lecture on strategy execution to graduate students of the Gordon Ford College of Business on Thursday, February 27 at 1:50 in Grise Hall 439.
Dr. Meggers is responsible for Alcoa’s global mill products and rigid packaging business. He oversees the Australian rolled products businesses, and Alcoa’s operations in Russia. Meggers was elected an executive vice president of Alcoa in December 2011 and is a member of the Alcoa Executive Council, the company’s senior leadership group.
He holds degrees in physics and materials science from the Christian-Albrechts University in Kiel, Germany.
The public is welcome to attend the lecture.
