Welcome to the Management Department

Why study Management at Western Kentucky University?

The Department of Management is the largest major within the Gordon Ford College of Business, with over 750 students.  Our programs are accredited by the AACSB, the highest mark of quality a business program can be awarded. You can make a difference with a degree in management and management careers can be exciting and financially rewarding.

There are five concentrations to choose from within Management, which all share the same 6 Management Core classes. That gives students time to decide which concentration best fits their goals - Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Global Business, Human Resources, or Supply Chain.

We have a well-prepared faculty and professional advisors who will help you learn and guide you toward a successful career.  Our faculty members are very focused upon teaching and learning.  We help you apply what you learn through business cases, experiential exercises, presentations, competitions, and team projects. Almost all of our professors have a doctoral degree and conduct business research they can bring into the classroom.

There are many activities which also prepare you for your success.  You will have an opportunity to get involved with many award winning student chapters.  You can also benefit from using our own Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and WKU’s Center for Research and Development (which includes a cutting edge student innovation “incubator”).
