Recruitment Events for Internal Purposes

WKU Preview Day is a free open house event on WKU's campus that offers a comprehensive look at WKU’s outstanding academic offerings, student activities, and beautiful campus. Sessions are offered to provide valuable information about life on The Hill, and an information expo allows students and their families the opportunity to personally connect with representatives from different departments on campus.

Target Audience: Prospective Students (Primary Target Age: Fall-Sr and Spring-Jr)

Discover WKU is a free open house event hosted at various venues in pre-determined regions based on student engagement data. During Discover WKU, prospective students and their families can learn more about the opportunities available at WKU. There will be an admissions presentation at every Discover WKU event, so students can learn more about becoming a Hilltopper.

Target Audience: Prospective Students (Primary Target Age: Sr)

School Partner Breakfasts/Luncheons/Coffee Hours are hosted regionally by the Office of Admissions as an opportunity to spend time with representatives from local high schools informing them of updated WKU information. These events may take place at different times of the day and with differing venues/dining dependent on market size and participation. 

Target Audience: High School Partners

Student Call to Action: NA

TOP is the required first-time freshmen, main campus, student orientation. At TOP, students will have an information session with a current student ambassador (TOP Guide), have the opportunity to schedule a one-on-one meeting with FInancial Aid, hear from Academic Advising, and develop their first class schedule. 

Target Audience: Admitted Students

We appreciate the support of our Hilltopper family to recruit incoming students each year and want to celebrate the kick off a new recruitment season. Learn more about current initiatives being enacted by the Office of Admissions, as well as some new things that we plan to launch throughout this cycle, all while enjoying a cup of coffee and light refreshments.
