Biography

Aurelia Spaulding earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations ('06), Graduate Certificate in Leadership Studies ('10), and a Master of Public Administration ('12) degree from Western Kentucky University. She also earned a Volunteer Management Certificate from the Center for Nonprofit Management. Spaulding has led several award-winning marketing projects and enjoys exploring ways communications and marketing can be used to better inform students and their families of educational resources available to them. She also utilizes her studies and experience to serve in leadership roles, such as founding a nonprofit and serving on the boards of directors for several other community organizations.

Spaulding began teaching adjunct at WKU in Fall 2013 with University Experience, now titled University Learning. For WKU's School of Leadership and Professional Studies, she first taught in 2016 with Introduction to Leadership Studies and continues now with Leadership Theory and Application and Contemporary Leadership Issues. For the Department of Society, Culture, Crime, & Justice Studies, Spaulding has taught Introduction to Social Justice and Seminar in Social Justice.
