After a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19, the Sundance Film Festival is finally debuting the latest in cinematic creations once more. WKU students have a chance to be a part of that crowd through a Study Away program offered during the winter term.

Submissions are open for The Ashen Egg, an annual journal publishing analytical essays on literature, rhetoric, linguistics, film, and popular culture. Any current WKU undergraduate student may submit scholarly work to The Ashen Egg.

To celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival, a major Chinese holiday, the students in the Chinese Calligraphy course were introduced to the stories and the traditions from various Asian cultures.

Producer Ashley York, co-writer of "Hillbilly" visited WKU JRH for a film screening and Q&A on September 21. The film focuses on the people and living conditions of Appalachia.
