WKU offers 20 online undergraduate degrees at the bachelor’s and associate degree levels, including two competency based education programs. Majors include health, business, leadership, criminology, technology, and family services, just to name a few. Our online bachelor degrees have been ranked among the top 5 in the nation for three consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report. This ranking is based on student engagement, faculty credentials, student services and technology, and reputation.

WKU offers more than 30 master's degrees completely online providing you with the flexibility required to advance your education and your career! Choose from online degrees in biology, business, sustainability, social work, nursing, healthcare administration, education, technology, and more. In most disciplines, you may choose to earn a graduate certificate as part of your master’s degree, which means you’re earning two credentials at the same time, for the same price. Our online master’s degrees have been nationally ranked in areas of quality and affordability.

Certificates

Online certificates may be earned as part of a degree program or as a stand-alone credential. Many students find it advantageous to couple a certificate with an associate, bachelor’s degree or master’s degree. Most often, programs can be planned to include a certificate as part of the curriculum, allowing students to earn two credentials at the same time. WKU offers more than 30 graduate certificates, and 15 undergraduate certificates

When Can I Start?

Classes

  • Web classes are semester-based, online classes that follow the same schedule as face-to-face courses - they have specific start and end dates with terms beginning in the fall, winter, spring, and summer. 
  • On Demand classes provide students the opportunity to earn college credit when and where it is convenient for them.  The campus location is listed as "On Demand" in Topnet. There are more than 100 undergraduate and graduate flex-paced courses available completely online. Students have the option to accelerate course completion by finishing in as little as 7 weeks or take advantage of an extended time frame.
