Dr. Manmeet Singh receives Springer Nature Editor of Distinction Award

WKU Ogden College of Science and Engineering congratulates Dr. Manmeet Singh, Assistant Professor in the WKU Department of Earth, Environmental, and Atmospheric Sciences (EEAS), on his receipt of the prestigious Editor of Distinction Award by Springer Nature, one of the largest and most influential scholarly publishers in the world.
The award recognizes Dr. Singh’s outstanding editorial contributions, specifically his meticulous assessment of submissions and diligent management of the peer-review process to safeguard scientific accuracy. The honor also highlights his dedication to ensuring the publishing process remains efficient, constructive, and fair for researchers submitting their work.
The Springer Nature Editor of Distinction Award is granted annually to an elite group of journal editors around the world, recognizing those who rank in the top 20% globally in their management of the peer-review process.
Springer Nature commended Dr. Singh on the vital role he plays in supporting both his specific journal and the broader global research community.
“This recognition speaks to Dr. Singh's dedication to scientific excellence and service to the research community,” said Dr. Leslie North, Chair of the WKU Department of EEAS. “His passion for research and innovation is evident in everything he does at WKU and with our Disaster Science Operations Center.”
