Windows 11 Support

On October 5, 2021, Microsoft released Windows 11, the newest version of their Operating System (OS). As with all new major OS versions, Microsoft promotes a new interface, enhanced features, and additional options.

WKU Information Technology Services has been testing pre-release versions of Windows 11 and preparing to support faculty, staff, students, and lab/classroom computers with this new OS in the near future. It is common to delay enterprise-level adoption to allow issues and bugs to be worked out; therefore Windows 11 is not yet supported by ITS, and we request no one upgrade university-owned devices to Windows 11 until preparations are in place. If you choose to upgrade, it could result in unexpected issues ITS may not be able to quickly resolve.
