The Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) services
provided by the University are critical network infrastructure components. All WKU
network users utilize these services constantly and most do so without ever realizing
it.
In special cases, some clients may require custom DNS or DHCP configurations for a
project. For these instances, a request needs to be placed with the WKU ITS Service
Desk. The request will be routed to the appropriate group and the needs evaluated
on a case by case basis. While such requests are not the most common, they are not
unusual either and well established procedures are in place to care for them in the
most expeditious manner possible.

The Mediasite Video Platform will be down for a scheduled upgrade beginning Wednesday, June 24th at 9:30am and will finish by 1pm. During the upgrade, Mediasite upload, edit and playback will be unavailable.
ITS Network Services will be performing network maintenance at Smith Stadium East on Thursday, June 25th from 4:30-5:30pm and Smith Stadium West on Tuesday, June 30th from 6:00-7:00pm. These scheduled outages will include a brief but complete loss of all wired, wireless, and voice network connectivity.
WKU Blackboard administrators are aware of a bug affecting Gradebook submissions, wherein faculty may encounter a blank screen when attempting to view submitted assignments. Faculty who experience this issue can contact the ITS Service Desk to report this issue and be notified once a fix is in place.
