• Position Title: Student Consultant
• Department: Audiovisual Services - Department of Communication Technologies
• Employment Status: Student Worker
• Regular Hours Worked: Fall, Spring: Up to 20/wk; Summer: Up to 30 or 40/wk (based on need and availability)

 

Purpose

The purpose of a Student Consultant is to provide 1st level audiovisual technical support to faculty, staff, students and some Non-WKU clients.

 

General Description

Function as WKU's central point of contact for A/V technology incidents and escalating problems when necessary for the IT Division.

 

Essential Duties

• Provide technical support for incoming queries and issues from WKU faculty, staff, and students via the telephone.
• Evaluate client requests and determine if resolvable at the Audiovisual Services Support Center or if it must be escalated. If escalated, determine if sufficient information and proper troubleshooting was completed at first level.
• Other duties as required.
