Audiovisual Technology 

Audiovisual technology can be utilized to enhance the learning environment. Audiovisual support at WKU extends to academic and non-academic areas around campus. The various forms of audiovisual support include audiovisual design, installation, and programming. Another service, provided by a recent Academic Affairs initiative, is free projector bulb replacement for academic spaces.

Audio Conferencing 

WKU has three main methods for audio conferencing: Analog Telephone - connects up to 3 participants, Digital and VoIP Telephone - connects up to 6 participants, Hosted Audio Conferencing - connects up to 25 participants.  Groups over 25 can be accommodated.

Room-Based Video Conferencing

WKU hosts a network of over 40 videoconferencing-enhanced rooms throughout Western Kentucky with locations in Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, Fort Knox, Glasgow, and Owensboro. Room-based video conferencing provides you high-quality, regional, national and international reach to almost anywhere in the world. Through the use of video conferencing technologies, IVS provides faculty with the ability to teach courses in real-time between all WKU campuses.

Desktop Video Conferencing

Desktop video conferencing is a software solution which allows an individual to meet, virtually, using a desktop/laptop computer or mobile device. Participants can collaborate across varying geographical locations. With the system in place at WKU, participants can interact with desktop sharing, chat feature, polling, share documents, along with real-time audio and video.

Blackboard Upgrade

WKU Blackboard is scheduled for an upgrade on Sunday, June 24 through Monday, June 25, 2018 and will be unavailable during this period.
