To request a department owned wireless device, contact the IT HelpDesk at 270-745-700 or online chat or submit a request through the Service Catalog by clicking here. This request will be found under the Voice Services options.
An employee that requires the use of a WKU owned cellular device will need budgetary authority. This form will need to be completed and signed before any orders are completed.
IRS policies are clear about personal use of business sponsored cellular devices, therefore the university advises against the use of university owned devices for personal use. However if personal use of a university device occurs, the personal use of the wireless device will be reimbursed to the Department by the employee. Departments will be responsible for collecting any reimbursements amounts from employees. Please reference Cellular Allowance Policy, Section 4, page 5.
