Welcome prospective International Students! We are pleased that you are considering continuing your studies in the U.S. at WKU.

We are committed to promoting international understanding through intercultural exchange. The admission of qualified international students from countries throughout the world allows WKU to offer a uniquely diverse student body. WKU hosts over 1300 international undergraduate and graduate students from 70 different countries. From our wide array of programs of study to our beautiful hilltop locale, we want to give you every opportunity to succeed both in career and life.

Scholarships for Current WKU Students

There are 3 types of WKU scholarships available for international Students in F-1 and J-1 status:  Please note that the application for the Wurster scholarship also includes the International Student Achievement Award scholarship.

  1. The Wurster Scholarship: Granted to 3 students. The scholarship is a total amount of $900 split between the Fall '16 & Spring '17 semesters.
  2. Int'l Student Achievement Award: Is granted to ONE international Undergraduate student. The award is $325.00.
  3. Richard Salisbury Book Scholarship:  Award to ONE international student of $500.00 to purchase books. The recipient must be a full-time international student (F-1) from a country in the Western Hemisphere, excluding the United States and Canada.

May 1st  (outside US and transfer within US)

*Any exceptions to these deadlines will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
