Faculty play a critical role in ensuring students have equal access to educational opportunities. This session will provide an overview of the Student Accessibility Resource Center (SARC) accommodation process, including how accommodations are determined, communicated, and implemented. Participants will gain insight into the purpose of faculty notification letters, faculty responsibilities, and common accommodation-related questions. This session will also explore accommodations in clinical, laboratory, practicum, and other experiential learning environments, including how accommodations that raise questions about essential course requirements, technical standards, or potential fundamental alterations are evaluated.
