Research shows that students with a strong sense of belonging are more likely to deeply engage in class, succeed academically, and persist to graduation. Join us for conversation with Eric Knackmuhs about his research into his students’ sense of belonging. He’ll share descriptive data from the past 2-years of classes that provide insight into which elements of sense of belonging students rate most highly. Eric will also share strategies he has used to increase his students’ sense of belonging. We’ll close the with an opportunity for all participants to share their own approaches and learn from each other.
