Eligibility and Application

Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Be a full-time undergraduate student at Western Kentucky University (WKU).

No prior knowledge of Chinese is required.

Open to students of all majors.

There is no additional fee to participate in the program; students are responsible for standard WKU course tuition and fees.

Commit to achieving Superior-level Chinese proficiency.

Commit to completing the final year of the Flagship Program (Capstone Year) in Taipei, Taiwan.
Before submitting your application to the WKU Chinese Flagship Program, please ensure
that you have already applied to WKU.
We encourage Flagship students to apply to the Honors College for additional scholarship opportunities. Flagship Chinese courses count toward Honors
requirements!
