School of Nursing Hosts Employment Recruitment Fair

The WKU School of Nursing in the College of Health and Human Services, with help from the WKU Center for Career and Professional Development, hosted the first WKU School of Nursing job fair on Friday, October 9 from 8:30am-11:30am in the WKU/Medical Center Health Sciences Complex Conference Center. Representatives from 16 regional and national medical facilities were on site to meet and recruit 4th semester Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) students who will graduate in December 2015. A few Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) students were also able to attend the event. The vendors were very impressed with the students for both their preparedness and professionalism at the event.
The vendors on-site included: Baptist Health Madisonville, Commonwealth Health Corporation, Deaconess Health System, Greenview Regional Hospital, Hardin Memorial Health, HighPoint Health System, Hurst Review Services, Jennie Stuart Medical Center, Kaplan Nursing, Norton Healthcare, Owensboro Health, Rivendell Behavioral Health Hospital, Signature Healthcare of Bowling Green, St. Mary's Medical Center, T J Samson Community Hospital, and University of Louisville Hospital.
Future employment recruitment events will be held each spring and fall to recruit 4th semester students.
