2015 Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award Winner 

Fred Gibson, Ph.D.

School of Kinesiology, Recreation & Sport

Dr. Fred Gibson is the 2015 winner of the Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award. This award is given in recognition of the faculty member's teaching excellence and his/her ability to motivate and inspire students in and outside the classroom. Dr. Gibson is an Associate Professor in the School of Kinesiology, Recreation and Sport. He is also the director of the Recreation and Sport Administration Graduate Program as well as the coordinator of the Facility and Event Management Concentration & Certificate.

Dr. Dana Sullivan is the 2015 winner of the Faculty Excellence in Research/Creativity Award. This award is given in recognition of the faculty member's outstanding contributions to his or her field of research, creative production and other scholarly achievements. Dr. Sullivan is the BSW Program Director for the Department of Social Work.

Mr. Chaney has taught courses in Health Care Organization and Management for the Department of Public Health.

Bernadette Mullen

Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders

Ms. Bernadette Mullen is the 2015 winner of the CHHS Outstanding Staff Award. This award is given in recognition of the staff member's outstanding support and dedication to his or her work in CHHS and WKU. Ms. Mullen worked as an Office Associate for the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders until her retirement in the spring semester of 2015.
