WKU, UPIKE competing in organ donor challenge through Nov. 8
|Date: Friday, October 31st, 2014||Return|
Several student groups at WKU will be hitting the Hill to encourage students, faculty and staff to sign up on Kentucky’s Organ Donor Registry between now and Nov. 8 as a part of the WKU vs. University of Pikeville Organ Donation Challenge.
The winner of the challenge will be announced at the WKU vs. UPIKE basketball game on Nov. 10. The Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) is providing support for the challenge.
Becoming an organ donor is simple; go http://www.donatelifeky.org and enter the information on your driver’s license (Kentucky residents only). Be sure to select WKU/UPIKE Challenge – WKU FAN from the drop-down menu. If you are not a Kentucky resident, you can still help WKU in the challenge by filling out one of the paper forms that student groups will be handing out, and KODA will send the information to your state’s registry.
By becoming an organ donor, you can save up to eight lives. For information on organ donation, visit http://www.kyorgandonor.org/.
