Dr. Rusli is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Department of Accounting. Prior to joining Western Kentucky University, she was at Montana State University. Dr. Rusli earned her MBA degrees from National University of Singapore and Peking University, and a PhD in accounting from the University of Kentucky.
Her research interests include managerial and behavioral accounting, especially how management control systems can affect group identity in employees as well as financial reporting outcomes; her additional interest is in trust shared between superiors and subordinates.
Dr. Rusli’s teaching expertise encompasses various financial accounting courses, and her prior work experience in industry has informed her teaching. Dr. Rusli began her accounting career as an SAP consultant and trainer, and she moved up the ranks to become a senior accounting manager and a financial controller at companies in Indonesia and Singapore.
