When did you start as a WKU Admissions Counselor?
July 2022
Favorite time of year at WKU?
Winter! Being bundled up in my coat and walking in my snow boots with a hot coffee from Davinci’s, and sledding down the hill make winter the best time!
Where are you from?
Russell Springs, Kentucky
What did you study in college?
Biology, interestingly enough! I love the challenge it brought me. I’ll be getting my Masters in Public Health!
Advice for new Hilltoppers?
Don’t be afraid to take classes and figure out what you like before picking a major, and don’t be afraid to change your major! Also, get involved on campus in at least two organizations.
What does the WKU experience mean to you?
For me, it was community and opportunity. For first-generation college students, WKU is the perfect place. I found such an amazing community here and was able to channel my passions into extracurriculars that mattered to me, and eventually make a career out of both, serving the community I come from and the new one I found at WKU!
My favorite WKU tradition & memory:
I love our fight song!! My favorite memories are gamedays on the Hill, Greek Week, Homecoming, and Dance Big Red!
My favorite spot on WKU’s campus:
Downing Student Union! I always knew if I went there I’d find a few of my friends. Our go to spot was the third floor to chat and study. Plus it’s where the Starbucks is :)
