When did you start as a WKU Admissions Counselor? Fall 2026
What is your favorite time of year at WKU? Spring
Where are you from? Bowling Green, KY
What did you study in college? Marketing
Advice for new Hilltoppers? Make the most of your college years! You’ll never have quite as many opportunities to try new things and make memories as you do during this time. If you have the chance to study abroad, absolutely take it — it was one of the best things I did in college! Take time to explore Bowling Green, too. Find your favorite local restaurants, check out some cool hiking spots, and make the most of everything the Hill has to offer!
What does the WKU experience mean to you? The WKU experience is something truly special, and it looks a little different for everyone! It’s walking through Centennial Mall when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, playing in the snow on the Hill, or taking a walk around campus on a beautiful day. It’s meeting friends for lunch, hanging out in the dorm common areas playing cards, cheering at football games, and getting a picture with Big Red. It’s singing the WKU fight song after the basketball team beats a rival. The WKU experience is made up of all these little moments, big memories, and friendships along the way. There are so many ways to make the most of your time on the Hill, and I know I loved my WKU experience!
One of my favorite things about WKU is Big Red! He’s unlike any other mascot and brings so much fun, energy, and Hilltopper spirit to campus — not to mention some pretty great dance moves! You can’t help but smile when he’s around. You never know when he might pop into your class on a random Tuesday or when you’ll spot him dancing around Diddle Arena or Houchens-Smith Stadium.
What is your favorite spot on WKU's campus? My favorite spot on campus is the balcony at Chandler Hall, WKU’s College of Business! Especially on a nice day, it’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy the weather, and do a little people-watching. You can look out over South Lawn and see students hanging out with friends, playing games, or sometimes even catch the Big Red Marching Band practicing. It’s such a nice spot to take a break and enjoy the energy of campus!
