What year did you start as a student at WKU? Fall 2021
When did you start as a WKU Admissions Counselor? September 2026
What is your favorite time of year at WKU? I like January when we get back from break. Everyone is sledding down the hills on everything but a sled.
Where are you from? Elizabethtown, KY
What did you study in college? I earned a Bachelor's in film with a minor in art
Advice for new Hilltoppers? Two things, 1. Don’t forget your why. You’re not just in college because you want the degree or you want to make more money in the future but always remember what you truly came to college for and how you’re going to use it for the betterment of our world. 2. Community is so absolutely crucial not just for your happiness and wellbeing but for your journey and development, academic or otherwise. Find your community and be an active member in it.
What does the WKU experience mean to you? The WKU Experience is similar to other colleges in that we are all trying to figure out who we are and how we fit into the larger world. What makes WKU different is the culture that we surround ourselves with. Being a Hilltopper means earnestly and joyfully rising to success and living life to the fullest, but it also means making midnight runs to GADS or Buc-ee’s or having an unhealthy obsession with Big Red and the white squirrels.
My favorite WKU memories all come from the camping trips I made with my friends. Getting to hike 7 miles in the pitch dark, eating nothing but MREs, summer sausage, and mandarin oranges, sleeping for three hours, then waking up to go cave exploring is a unique experience.
What is your favorite spot on WKU's campus? I love the Preston Center! Getting a good lift in the morning was a regular part of my schedule as a student.
