The Gatton Academy's Staff

Marissa is passionate about supporting students as they navigate their academic journeys and discover their potential. At Gatton, she works closely with students to help them achieve their academic goals, assists with Gatton course registration, and oversees the tutor and peer-tutor programs. She finds great fulfillment in building meaningful connections with students, watching them grow in confidence and ability, and helping them overcome challenges along the way. Marissa is dedicated to creating an encouraging and supportive environment where students feel empowered to succeed, both academically and personally. She believes in the value of continuous learning and personal growth and enjoys mentoring students as they prepare for their future goals and careers.

Marissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and graduates December 2026 with her Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership at Western Kentucky University. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, crafting, playing video games with her husband, and taking care of their two dogs: Lillith and Captain.
