The Gatton Academy's Staff

Katie Rose Maynard serves as the Residential Counselor for 2nd North. Originally from Prestonsburg, Kentucky, she graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a minor in Arts Administration.

Katie Rose brings several years of experience working with children and youth. Most recently, she served as a camp counselor at Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center in the summer of 2024, then returned in 2025 as the Summer Program Director. Alongside her camp leadership, she has volunteered at various youth institutes and spent two years as the Children's Ministry Intern at Broadway United Methodist Church.

Outside of work, Katie Rose enjoys spending time outdoors, watching movies, hiking, trying new things, and treating herself to something sweet. She loves animals and values time with her friends. Her favorite part of working with youth is helping them grow and supporting them through their personal and developmental journeys.
