The Gatton Academy's Staff

Jamie received her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Kentucky University in 2021 and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Kentucky. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Kentucky in 2013 and spent several years working as a camp professional and Registered Nurse before becoming a counselor.

As Assistant Director, Counseling Services, Jamie provides mental health counseling to students while also overseeing the broader counseling program. Her role includes supporting and coordinating mental health and college counseling services, planning retreats, and teaching Senior Seminar. She enjoys working with students individually as well as creating programs and experiences that support their personal, emotional, and academic growth.

One of Jamie’s favorite parts of her work is watching students discover more about who they are and what matters most to them. Jamie is passionate about working alongside the Gatton team to create an environment where students feel known, supported, and encouraged to grow into the people they want to be.

Jamie lives in Bowling Green with her husband and two sons. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, pickleball, reading, and spending time outdoors.
