- Graduate Residential Counselor
Emmanuel Ayernor Tetteh serves as the Graduate Residential Counselor for 1st South. Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Emmanuel earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Geography Education from the University of Education, Winneba in 2019. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Applied Economics at Western Kentucky University.
Before joining The Gatton Academy, Emmanuel taught Economics at Yilo Krobo Senior High School and Mangoase Senior High School, where he also served as a class master. He was also an Assistant Examiner for the West African Examinations Council through 2024.
At Gatton, Emmanuel is committed to selfless leadership and fostering a community where students grow both academically and socially. Outside of work, you can often find him keeping up with political shows from Ghana to stay connected with national discourse back home, on the soccer field, or watching sports.
