Honorary Societies


The WKU Greek community is pleased to have two honor societies on campus, responsible for recognizing excellence in scholarship, leadership, and loyalty and commitment to fraternity/sorority values.
 

Order of Omega

About 

Order of Omega is an undergraduate Greek Society recognizing "fraternity men and women who have attained a high standard of leadership in inter-fraternity activities." Order of Omega at WKU encourages its members to continue their leadership and service and to inspire others to strive for similar attainment. 

 
Requirments 
In order to be considered, you have to have completed one full academic year of resisence at the insitution where selected. You must be a Sophmore, Junior, or Senior in good standing with the initiates fraternal organization. Academically you need to rank above the all-Greek average. 

 

How to Apply 
Membership applications are available in earlt to mid-March. Typically, the new Order of Omega members will be announced at Convocation of Greek Week (mid- to late April). Applications will be sent out to chapter presidnets to foward on to their chapter members. in addition, the application will be available on our website. 

 


  

Rho Lambda

About

The Greek letters RHO LAMBDA stand for PANHELLENIC LEADERSHIP, respectively. Those who are leaders light a torch in the darkness for others to follow, and the flame is the symbol of Rho Lambda. The purpose of Rho Lambda is to honor those women within sorority community who have exhibited the highest qualities of leadership and service to their Greek community and their sorority. They are women who have furthered the ideals and principles of the Greek community throughout their years of sorority affiliation.

 

Requirments

In order to be cooinnsidered for membership, the Sorority woman must be a sophmore, junior, or senior and an initiated, active member of their sorority for at least two full academic terms or semesters. A 3.25 GPA is required for membership. 

 

How to Apply 

Membership applications are available in early to mid-March. The new Rho Lambda members will be announced at Convocation of Greek week. Applications will be sent out to our Chapter Presidnets to foward on to their chapter members.
