University of Kentucky - Clinical Rotations - Medical
South Central AHEC will work with third and fourth year Pikeville Osteopathic students to help them find clinical rotations. To begin the process, contact allie.pardue@wku.edu and complete the FACT SHEET
During the third and fourth years at KYCOM, students complete clinical rotations in 4 week increments equivalent to 1 block.
The required Core Clinical Rotations include:
- Family Medicine (2 blocks)
- Internal Medicine (2 bocks, first block must be general IM)
- Pediatrics (1 block)
- General Surgery (1 block)
- Women’s Health (1 block)
- Psychiatry (1 block)
- Emergency Medicine (1 block)
The required Selective Clinical Rotations include:
- Clinical Osteopathic Medicine (1 block)
- Surgery Subspecialty (1 block)
- Medicine Subspecialty (1 block)
- Rural Medicine (1 block)
- Elective Clinical Rotations (4 blocks total)
