Note-Taking Assistance from the SARC

 Requesting Assistance from the SARC:

• Please be aware that completing the request form does not guarantee that a class Note Taker will be identified and secured.

• To request assistance from the SARC in locating a potential class Note Taker, complete the Note Taker Request Form.

• The SARC will include you in up to 3 emails to classmates on your behalf. We will not share your name in these email blasts.

• If/when a Note Taker volunteers-you will be notified.

• Keep in mind that it will take the SARC several days to process your request. If a Note Taker is not available within 7 days of your initial online request (or 7 days after the start of the term), contact the SARC to arrange a time to discuss other options. 

• Alternative solutions for securing class notes are available while you are waiting to secure a class Note Taker. Please consider using available note taking technologies. 

• If you add a class, a Note Taker Change of Request Form must be submitted in order for the SARC to assist you in locating an additional Note Taker for the new class.

• Alternatively, if you drop or withdraw from a class,  you must notify the SARC within five days using the Note Taker Change of Request Form so the search for a Note Taker or the current note taking assignment can be canceled.

• Lastly, students who receive assistance from the SARC with locating a class Note Taker must adhere to the SARC Note Taker Accommodation Policies & Procedures.
