PCAL Suitable Event Request Form

Review the following information about Suitable and then complete the form below. Your submission will automatically be sent to Ashley Edwards Cook, the global administrator for PCAL. Ashley will review the submission and manually add each approved event to Suitable.

Suitable is WKU’s co-curricular engagement platform that helps students make the most of their college experience by: 

  • Tracking participation across academic, social, and leadership activities 
  • Earning points and badges for personal, academic, and professional development milestones 
  • Showcasing their growth through customizable Scorecards and Portfolios 

Note: Suitable does not include transcript grades, GPA, or FERPA-protected academic records. It is designed solely to highlight engagement and skill-building outside of the classroom. 

Before submitting the form below, review the following conditions related to your submission:

  1. Please make sure to submit Suitable events at least two weeks prior to the event to ensure that the event is manually created in Suitable and has been in the application long enough for students to view it.
  2. You are responsible for printing the QR code that students use to log their attendance at the event. Ashley Edwards Cook will forward the QR code in an email to you and/or the event contact listed in the below form.
  3. You are responsible for reaching out to Ashley Edwards Cook (ashley.edwards@wku.edu) after the event for an attendance report.
  4. Submissions that are not complete will not be added to Suitable. Please review your submission to ensure you have added the correct dates, times, locations, and other information. If the event is virtual, please make sure to include the web link for Event Location.

6 Words Or Less - Avoid Acronyms

* Format

Use “you” language to speak directly to the student. Be clear, concise, and encouraging. Focus on the student experience, not institutional policy. Start with a strong action verb (e.g., Attend, Explore, Lead). Avoid institutional jargon or policy-speak; Limit to essential info. Use sentence case for descriptions (not all caps or title case). Highlight the relevance to real-world skills or competencies. Include a time estimate and point of contact for questions or clarification.

Include phone number and email.
