Dr. John Long is a graduate of Central High School of Philadelphia, received a B.A.
in Psychology from Temple University, a B.D. (Bachelor of Divinity) from
Reformed Episcopal Seminary, Th.M. New Testament from Westminster
Theological Seminary, a M.A. in Mediterranean Studies, and a Ph.D. in
Classical and Oriental Studies from Brandeis University.
Long currently resides in Bowling Green, KY and is retired from the Department of Philosophy and Religion of Western Kentucky University after 34 years of full-time service. While at Western Kentucky University he taught, among other courses, Old Testament/Hebrew Scriptures, New Testament, Inter-testamental Literature, Islamic Religious Traditions, Arabic and Greek, and he was the head of the department for seven years.
