The Gilman Scholarship program aims to make study abroad more accessible and inclusive for students with limited financial means. Students receiving Pell Grants can earn up to $8,000 for study abroad program expenses, including airfare, tuition, room and board, and other program costs. Learn more.

Attendees will learn how to apply for a Gilman Scholarship, application components, and qualities of a competitive application.  Can't attend a workshop? Set up a one-on-one meeting with Mr. Dodds in the Office of Scholar Development.

The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program provides up to $138,000 for Graduate School in STEM, Social Sciences, & STEM Education.

It is open to graduating seniors and current graduate students, who are U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents and who intend to enroll or are enrolled in a research-based graduate degree program

Learn how to approach the application and strategies for developing a strong proposal and personal statement:
