The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the largest U.S. exchange program offering opportunities for students and young professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and primary and secondary school teaching worldwide.  Learn more.

Complete Fulbright U.S. Student Program applications must be submitted through the Embark system by 11:59 CT.  This includes letters of recommendation and evaluations.

Wednesday, September 5th

“Fellowships in :15” provides an opportunity for students to learn about national scholarships and other opportunities in 15-minute increments.  Sessions will begin at 9 a.m. and cover four topics every hour until 4pm:

  • Funding graduate school in the sciences (on the hour)
  • Paid summer research in STEM and social sciences (at 15 minutes past)
  • Study abroad scholarships (at half past)
  • Critical language study abroad (at 45 minutes past).

In addition to learning about different opportunities, attendees will get a brief overview of application processes and tips for success. OSD staff will be available before and after their presentations to chat with students, answer questions and make appointments for one-on-one advising.

The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program provides up to $138,000 for Graduate School in STEM, Social Sciences, & STEM Education.

It is open to graduating seniors and current graduate students, who are U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents and who intend to enroll or are enrolled in a research-based graduate degree program

Learn how to approach the application and strategies for developing a strong proposal and personal statement:

September 18: 4-5 PM

Each workshop will be held in room 2007 of the Honors College-International Center.
