Ogden College Advising | Registration FAQs

Class registration is based on earned hours, NOT the earned hours you will have at the end of the current semester. Please check here for your registration date.

A few things could have happened.

  1. The courses filled up before you tried to schedule
  2. The courses could be restricted
  3. You don't meet the prerequisites

In TopNet, click the Look Up Classes link to see if the course is at capacity or is restricted and if you meet the prerequisites.

If the course is at capacity or restricted, you can add the course at the bottom of the "Look Up Classes" page by typing the five-digit CRN number of the course.

TopNet will only allow you to register for 16 hours until the last day of priority registration. Register first for classes in your major. Leave any colonnade and connections courses for later.

It is recommended that you apply for graduation the semester you reach 90 hours.

TopNet will advise you of any holds on your record. Students with outstanding obligations to the University will not be permitted to register until the obligation has been cleared with the appropriate office. You can check your holds on TopNet, and a telephone number will be provided to the appropriate office for lifting your hold.
