Dr. Cox's current research interests include supply chain management technology, product recalls, and change management within the supply chain. His research has been published in the International Journal of Logistics Management and the Journal of Transportation.

Dr. Cox's industry experience includes 20 years in both the public and private sectors, working in the manufacturing and information technology industries respectively. Prior to entering a full-time academic career in 2009, he worked to provide support to the Supply Chain Management Office of the Financial Directorate at the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex in Warner Robins, Ga.
He was recognized with the 2015 Excellence in Teaching Award by the Alpha Iota Chapter of the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society at Athens State University in Athens, Ala.
